Our terms and conditions

  1. By booking to attend any FT Longitude event (“Event”), you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

  2. The Event is organised by Longitude Research Limited (“Longitude”). Longitude may make reasonable changes to the format, timing or content if needed.

  3. Longitude will collect and use your personal data in connection with your attendance. This will be handled in accordance with the Longitude privacy policy, including for Event organisation, administration and follow-up communications. Please read this for details of how we may process your personal data.

  4. You acknowledge that, unless otherwise indicated (for example, where an Event is held under the ‘Chatham House Rule’), any Event, or part of it, may be recorded or photographed by, or on behalf of, Longitude.  You agree that Longitude, or any third party authorised by Longitude, may make public, use and create derivative works from such recordings or photographs for any purposes and in any media (including, without limitation, social media), worldwide and forever, at Longitude’s discretion. Such purposes may include (without limitation) advertising, publicity, reporting, education, or research, technology development (including training artificial intelligence systems) or any other related activities. If you have any concerns about being included in any photographs or recordings, please inform Longitude before such photography or recording takes place.

  5. You must not: (a) livestream, or make video or audio recordings of an Event longer than 20 seconds; (b) use photographs, recordings or livestreams from an Event for commercial purposes (unless Longitude has expressly agreed in writing); or (c) make photographs, recordings or livestreams of an Event where instructed not to do so (for example, at sessions held under the Chatham House Rule).

  6. Please advise us of any special access or dietary requirements at the time of making your booking for any physical Event.

  7. All delegates are expected to act respectfully and professionally. Longitude may refuse admission or require a delegate to leave an Event if behaviour represents a security risk, nuisance or annoyance to the running of the Event.

  8. Materials distributed by or on behalf of Longitude at an Event may not be reproduced without Longitude’s permission and are for your personal use only.

  9. Attendance is at your own risk. Longitude accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury arising in connection with your attendance, except where caused by its negligence or fraud.

  10. If you are a speaker or moderator at any Event: you acknowledge that any or all of the following may apply to your involvement in the Event:
  • You may be recorded and/or photographed during the course of your contribution to, or attendance at, the Event and you agree the provisions of clause 4 will apply.
  • Longitude may share your contact details with other speakers for the Event, for purposes relating to your participation in the Event;
  • Longitude may mention you on our social media channels, with or without your photograph;
  • You will provide Longitude with your materials (including any amendments to your materials reasonably requested by the Longitude) for the Event (including your headshot) before any deadline communicated by Longitude to you. We may use artificial intelligence, including generative artificial intelligence, to improve the quality of your headshot.
  • If you have any concerns about any of the above, please speak to your Longitude contact for the Event.
